Lemonade

Nothing refreshes you in summer than a freshly prepared lemon juice. And its even more fun to make a freshly prepared home made  "Lemonade". You can prepare Lemonade with readily available ingredients at home. Ingredients (to serve per glass): Lemon - 1 Sugar - 2 tsp (as per taste) Salt - 2 pinch Plain Club Soda - 1 glass You can choose to use market available club soda or you can make the soda if you have a soda-maker at home. In this case we got a Mr. Butler's Soda Maker at home. So we choose to make fresh soda, and then prepare Lemonade with it. You can read the Soda maker's Manufacturer user-guide instructions, may vary depending on the brand and the model you have. Fill the soda maker provided plastic bottle with chilled water. Moulded Sugar Sweet :: Sakkare Acchu :: Panchadara Chilakalu

Here is a sweet which is prepared across south India during Harvest Festival in the month of January called as " Shankranti " sometimes also called as " Pongal ". During this time you can find this sweet sold in local markets especially in South India. But traditionally this is a sweet done at home with family members. It is a fun activity for the kids to watch the sweet being done and even participate. In the home often it is done in the proper traditional way with the right ingredients and technique, and the final outcome and the taste of the sweet done this way will far surpass any store counterparts. It is locally called as "Sakkare Acchu" in Kannada and called as Panchadara Chilakalu in Telugu language and so on. In some parts they make mould it in solid shapes as shown above which is around 2-5 inches in size. Carrot Dessert

Here is a quick and delicious dessert you can make with Carrots. Not only this is nutritious your kids will love this dish and may be its their all time favourite dish. You can both serve it warm or cold or just at room-temperature. Ingredients: Fine Grated Carrots     -  1/2 Kg Sugar                            -  1 cup Clarified Butter            -   3/4 cup Cardamom powder      -   1 tsp Select fresh and preferably organic carrots. Make sure you select big size as shown so that it is easy to grate. Here are the ingredients. Note: Clarified butter is nothing but melted butter with almost no water content. If you do not get Clarified butter readily available, then you can melt almost 1-cup of butter to make around 3/4 of Clarified butter. But in-fact you can make this dish all-together with butter also. Into a wok add the Clarified Butter (or butter) and melt the same in a low flame. Fish Roast

Here is a simple delicious dish ideal for your Sunday brunch. Its tasty and healthy gets along well with your favourite wine or beer ! Ingredients: Seasonal Fish - 400 grams (around 5 pieces 1-cm thick) Tamarind paste (or extract)  -   3 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste   -  3 tsp Turmeric                    -  1 tsp Paprika                      -  4 tsp Corn Flour                 -  5 tsp Salt to taste Vegetable oil - to roast Get seasonal fish of your choice, clean it and cut into slices around 1-cm thick as shown below. Here are the bunch of ingredients you need. For Giner-Garlic Paste: Prepare fresh giner-garlic paste around 3 tsp with equal quantity of ginger and garlic. Tamarind Extract (or Puree): You can use a ready made Tamarind puree, or if you have Tamarind at home, soak the tamarind around 15-minutes in water. Squeeze and filter this extract to get Tamarind extract. Note: If you do not have Tamarind, you can substitute with Citric Acid or Vinegar. But
